Malacca Historical Exhibition

As part of Tunku’s visit to Malacca to announce the date of Malaysia’s independence on the 20th of February 1956, Canvas Art proposed that the Malaccan State Council host an exhibition in remembrance of this historical event. With the help of the Malacca Chief Minister and Dato Afendi, the exhibition was held in Pahlawan Mall in Malacca Town.

 

200 canvas prints were used to tell the story of Tunku’s journey to London and back to Malaya to announce the good news of independence during that year.
